About Jaya Rehabilitation Institute & Research Center
Jaya Rehabilitation Institute and Research Center
The institute introduced ADL and functional training to foster independence and enhance everyday life skills for individuals with disabilities. Additional services were launched for cognitive, play, and sensory integration therapies, particularly benefiting children’s development.
Addressing posture issues in children and diabetic foot ulcers in older populations, the Foot Care Unit was established. It emphasizes early detection and prevention of foot-related conditions, ensuring holistic care from childhood through older age.
Understanding the difficulties persons with disabilities face in using public transportation and utilities, Jaya Rehab introduced a dedicated training department. This initiative empowers individuals with disabilities to navigate schools, workplaces, and community spaces more confidently.
Beyond Human Rehabilitation
Jaya Rehab’s commitment to improving lives extends to animals as well. The center has created prosthetics and orthotics for a range of animals, including cows, camels, and even peacocks. In 2005, its work with a paraplegic dog was acknowledged in the Limca Book of Records for animal welfare.

Sustained financial backing from Shree Jaya Arvind Shah, as well as the unwavering support of trustees, donors, and staff of Shree Bidada Sarvodaya Trust, has allowed Jaya Rehab to grow into a robust center of care and innovation. Their combined efforts ensure that the institute thrives as a “banyan tree” of rehabilitative services—spreading its branches of support to all in need.
