Speech & Hearing Impaired

Speech-Language Pathology specializes in communication disorders. A speech service begin with initial screening for communication and swallowing disorders and continues with assessment and diagnosis, consultation for training in management, intervention and treatment, for many disorders, that involves problems with communication, and swallowing.

Audiologists are skilled professionals who specialize in the prevention, identification and management of hearing and balance problems. Hearing is one of our most precious senses. It affects our primary means of communication and keeps us in touch with the community around us. When our sense of hearing is impaired, we are in danger of being cut off from the information we rely on to be part of society.

Speech-language pathologists and audiologist collaborate with the other health care professionals at Jaya Rehabilitation, working as an adjunct to the multidisciplinary team. When indicated treatment will include hearing testing, distribution and maintains of hearing aids, and communication exercises.
